Theatre Workshops for All Ages
The UP Studio provides workshop opportunities for students of all ages and focuses on specific skills and interests. Workshop programming will vary from season to season and trimester to trimester, covering a broad range of topics from audition preparation and monologue studies to props creation and dance & movement.
The UP Studio allows students to take workshops of specific interests without the commitment to long-term study found in the Academy. Check back here periodically to see what is UP and coming in our Studio lineup!
Fall 2025 Workshops - Youth Ages 7-13
Story Crafting
What are the important elements that go into creating a story and developing a character? In this workshop, students learn the process of crafting a story and developing a character. Students will explore how small differences in perspective can create big shifts in stories that share the same focus.

Take the Spotlight!
Step into a world of imagination and play in this two-hour theatre adventure designed for kids. Through games, storytelling, and creative drama activities, participants will explore characters, act out fun scenarios, and bring their own ideas to life on stage.

Physical Storytelling -Communicating Through Movement
Harness your energy to set your story in motion! This workshop will explore storytelling through movement. Discover how to express ideas and emotions using your body as your primary tool.

Ensemble Singing and Reading Music
For students who have never been a part of a musical as well as experienced students, this workshop will explore the basics of reading music, musical rehearsal, and the craft of choral singing.
