Volunteer with UP
Our volunteers are the backbone of our organization and we couldn’t do anything we do without their help, support, and excitement! We’re thrilled to have help from the very experienced to the most basic of beginners. While some of our departments are specialized, many of our volunteer opportunities are “teach as we go” situations and having a diverse team of volunteers gets the big project done!
From backstage to box office, there are so many ways to pitch in:
- Usher or sell concessions at performances
- Help create costumes
- Paint our sets
- Hang posters around town
- Join a tech or backstage crew

Play in the Orchestra
Do your love of music and love of theatre intersect? Reach out to our Orchestra Manager to learn about upcoming musicals and any opportunities to play with our wonderful orchestra.
Join A Committee
Looking to get more involved with Theatre UP? Our board committees are the heartbeat of our organization, shaping everything from education to fundraising to the future of our venue. Open to both community members and UP insiders, and led by our board members, these small, collaborative groups meet bi-monthly (in person or via Zoom) to help drive the mission forward. No experience required. Just a passion for theatre and a desire to make a difference. Explore our committees and find where your voice can rise UP.
