ASSASSINS
This darkly humorous musical depicts 9 misfit men and women who set out to assassinate American Presidents. Feeling betrayed by the failed promise of American democracy and the American Dream, only some were successful, but all left their mark on American history. Gunshots fill the air and tensions run high in this fast-paced musical, while we ask the question: Has “everybody got the right to their dreams?” Honoring the late Stephen Sondheim, Theatre UP is proud to present one of his most thought-provoking musicals.
