President - Courtney Vashaw

Courtney Vashaw joined the UP family in 2016, and the Board of Directors shortly thereafter. Courtney has been involved in both theatre and community development for the better part of her life. She spent 16 years as an educator and administrator in local schools, has served on numerous non-profit boards, and worked on countless projects for the betterment of the North Country. She lives in Whitefield with her family (who are also part of the UP family!), where she serves as the director of the Whitefield Public Library.

In addition to often being onstage - you may have seen her as the dragoon in "Shrek" or perhaps Yente in "Fiddler on the Roof" - she serves as the Properties Master for all shows produced by Theatre UP. She loves creating and making and is thrilled to have found a company that feels like a family, with the crazy uncle and all.

Secretary - Connor MacDonald

Connor first joined Theatre UP in 2014, drawn to the accessible professional atmosphere it offered an actor. Over the years, he has taken on multiple roles within the organization and currently serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors, a member of the Executive and Membership Committees, and supports the group with its IT and technical needs. As an IT professional based in New Hampshire and Vermont, Connor specializes in technical problem-solving and managing Google-based infrastructures. He works as a Level 2 IT Technician with expertise in JAMF, MacBook and iPad management, and streamlining digital workspaces. His contributions to Theatre UP have helped enhance efficiency and improve its digital infrastructure. Theatre UP provided a sense of family during a time when he felt he no longer had one of his own, becoming a cornerstone of personal and professional growth. Outside of theatre and IT, he’s an avid board gamer who loves bringing people together around a table. He also enjoys sledding with his huskies alongside his good friend Garret Moore. At home, he cherishes time with his wonderfully supportive wife, Monica, and his son, Atlas, who has turned life upside down in the best possible way.
