Join Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, and Gloria the hippo as they bound onto the stage in an unforgettable musical adventure. Based on the smash DreamWorks animated motion picture, Madagascar, A Musical Adventure JR. follows a group of animal friends who escape their comfortable home at New York’s Central Park Zoo––only to find themselves on an unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien’s Madagascar.
Alex the lion is the king of the urban jungle and the zoo's main attraction. He and his friends have spent their whole lives in blissful captivity, complete with an admiring public and regular meals. However, curiosity gets the better of Marty the zebra. With the help of some plotting penguins, he escapes to explore the world, pulling his friends along for the ride.

What to Prepare
All auditioners will sing the selected song below.
We'll provide sheet music, a demo track, and an accompaniment track.
Best Friends
With Voices
This is the recording of the section of "Best Friends" that has the voices included. Practice with this first to learn how the voice and accompaniment go together! (follow the sheet music)
(
Accompaniment
This is the accompaniment for the audition. It is the track we will play for you to sing with during your audition. Practice using this once you learn the words from the sheet music and the recording above.

Sheet Music
This is the sheet music for "Best Friends" for your audition. Please print it and bring a copy to refer to at the audition. We much prefer memorized auditions, but children can hold the paper if they feel that they need to. You do not need to read sheet music or memorize the lyrics—but if you can, even better! Auditioners may also be asked to read from the script.
