Executive Director
Samantha trained as a classical soprano, receiving Master of Music and Graduate Performance diplomas in Voice from The Longy School of Music of Bard College in Cambridge, MA, and a Bachelor of Music with honors in Vocal Performance from Capital University in Columbus, OH. After graduate school, she worked as a teaching artist with the Metropolitan Opera Guild Urban Voices program in Boston, bringing opera-based music education programs to schools around the Greater Boston area.
Growing up in rural Pennsylvania, the local community theatre was a cornerstone of her artistic and personal development. It was that organization that first gave her a chance to discover her voice and who she is as an artist. After over a decade working in primary schools as an administrator and teacher, Samantha is elated to return full-time to the creative world. Having worked in classroom settings, administrative roles, and as a performer on the stage, she has a holistic perspective of arts education, performance, and arts’ ability to connect learners, audiences, artists, and the community. She is incredibly passionate about arts accessibility in our communities and is excited to join Theatre UP’s work toward creating programs that bring more music and arts to the North Country.
Recently, she completed a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management at Harvard University Extension School. She continues to serve as a teaching assistant for classes in grant proposal writing and fundraising at Harvard Extension. Relocating to Littleton after 15 years in Boston, she looks forward to exploring more of northern New England with her sassy shih tzu named Lollipop!
