We're so excited for the second show from our Youth Division. This Junior show is produced by our Education Department and will feature only youth performers. Disney’s "Finding Nemo JR." is a 60-minute musical adaptation of the beloved 2003 Pixar movie Finding Nemo, with new music by award-winning songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez - the song writing team for Disney’s Frozen. Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves.
"Finding Nemo JR." will be directed by Madalyn Sheehy, with music direction by Marie Snyder. All roles are open. Full character breakdown is available on our website. The show will rehearse and perform at the Littleton Opera House. Rehearsals begin December 3rd and will take place most Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 4:30-6:30PM. There will only be a few rehearsals in December, with things taking off in January. Not all kids will be called for all rehearsals. Performance dates are April 4, 5 & 6.
